This is a family favorite recipe of mine which is especially good slightly heated in the microwave, topped with either a dollop of whipped topping or a scoop of vanilla ice cream before serving.
Apple Crisp
- 6 cups apples, peeled and cut up
- 1 1/2 c. oatmeal
- 1 1/2 c. of flour
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp.
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Mix all ingredients together except for the apples. Put half the dough in a 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Put the apples on top of the dough. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Crumble the rest of the dough on top of the apples. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until apples are done. You can also use this same recipe with rhubarb instead of the apples.

I am going to have to try this. I love baked apple desserts. Last weekend I made an apple pie with some apples we got at the orchard.
