Why spend $2-$3 on simple windex cleaner when you can make your own. I came up with a great recipe for making my own window cleaner.
1 cup of water
1 cup of rubbing alcohol
1 tsp of white (clear) vinegar
Some other variances I found to this receipe suggest adding a little bit of blue dye to it if you want it to look like windex (**I've never done this, so try it at your own risk). Another frugal suggestion is reuse old cleaner bottles so that you don't have to buy a special bottle for it. Also be sure to save your old newspapers (black and white pages only – no color) to wipe down the windows. I find that newspapers work better than paper towels and they don't cost you anything.

All Purpose Cleaner (all natural)
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 cup baking soda (or use 2 teaspoons borax)
1/2 gallon (2 liters) water
Mix the vinegar and baking soda together. Then mix that with the water. Makes for a great all natural cleaner. Good luck and happy spring cleaning.
